These gas prices give me gas

Well gas prices are going up again. I got some calls yesterday on my show from people that went to work and gas was $2.59 a gallon then after work it was $3.09 a gallon!!! This is literally highway robbery! What is going on? I remember in 1999 and 2000 I thought that $1.15 a gallon was high? I had a red camaro in 1998 (gas guzzler) and I remember buying gas sometimes for $.80 a gallon. Less than a buck!

If you had told me then "hey Danger in 2005 you will be paying over $3 a gallon" I would have never believed it. This is truly shocking. Everything goes up in price. A phone call is no longer a dime, you can't buy a soda for a quarter and I knew gas would go up a little someday but this wreaks of price gouging to me. I don't blame the little man. The guy that owns the corner gas station may occasionally be ripping us off but I think that some higher up in the gas biz is reaping the benefits of this. I don't think it costs triple the amount to make gas than it did seven years ago.

Is there anything we can do about this? I have seen some emails going around about not buying gas for a day but I don't know if it would really matter? Do you think gas prices are going to go up? Are you changing your lifestyle because of this (riding a bike or taking the bus)? Make your comments or blow off steam below!

Ok, let's face it, with the price of EVERYTHING rising, how are we supposed to live? For example, how many people get raises as often as the gas prices increase? DEFINITELY not me!

If you ask me, the terrorists have already won--look at how we're living now. It's a crying shame...

I've resorted to wearing cleavage shirts and flirting with ugly desperate men at the gas pumps to try and get free-bee's...so far it's working... (hint hint, girls...) If this flirting thing doesn't last, I'm going to have to start hitch hiking...

I noticed on your poll that some people think that gas will go back down to one dollar per gallon? No way keep dreaming!

This is absolutly pathetic. I think first off I know the hurricane was not our presidents fault but without him this country would be running a lot smoother and we might not have had the high rise in gas to begin with. second i think if gas prices are going to be this high that jobs should have to start paying more and min. wage should do A BIG increase
