Fathers Day

Fathers Day for me was very SYMBOLIC

I drove my two sons eight hundred miles to their mother on Fathers Day. Why would I do that? I do that almost every other weekend because Judge Eaton of the Allegheny Family Court allowed my ex to relocate eight hundred miles away with my two young sons. I have my kids here in Pittsburgh for two weeks then they go spend two weeks with their mother in another town. I think maybe they thought that I would not be willing to drive to get my custody time with my kids? Well they were wrong. It is a shame that I have to do that to see my kids. But for the past two years that is exactly what I have done. Me and the boys drive and drive and drive. We spend time together.

LOTS OF MILES ON MY CAR

My kids are worth it. If my kids could choose they would never want to be moved eight hundred miles from their father. But they don't get to choose. The court allowed it so unless my appeals are granted. That is what I and they must live with for the time being. It's a shame.

AS I DROVE ALL DAY FATHERS DAY

I thought to myself that it was fitting. That long drive has represented my love for my children. My battle in court to get every minute I could with my children has been worth it. I hate that I have to do it. But I do not hate doing it. Being with my children is worth it. Until my boys are grown I will fight in court for as much time as possible with my boys. I believe that parents are equally important to children and that they should spend time with both parents. If my boys had a say so they would say that they want to be with both parents equally. Kids always love BOTH parents and NEED both parents. I don't know how the courts are looking out for what the kids want by letting them be moved eight hundred miles away?

I LOVE MY KIDS

Being a FATHER to my children is my #1 objective in life. If people try and make that difficult it will not stop me. It will only make me more determined to be there for my children. My children will have time with their father. They will. I will see to that.

BEING A DAD IS GOLD

In MAY I potty trained my three year old son and in JUNE I taught my five year old son to ride his bike with no training wheels. Moments like that are GOLDEN.

I LOVE MY DAD

My Dad was and IS a huge part of my life. My mother and father divorced when I was young but she never tried to keep me from my father. He had us several days every week. Just because they could not stay married did not mean that I no longer wanted to see my MOM & DAD.
