What is a Rascal Flatt?

I first met the Rascal Flatts years ago when they were skinny kids (like I was) and nobody had heard of them yet. I hosted a Pumpkin Patch Hayride every year and the record label offered to have a brand new group come out and sing around the campfire before the hayride.

So here are hundreds of families ready to get on the hayride, when a huge tour bus pulls up. Three kids pop out of the bus with nicely gelled hair and cool clothes on. They sing "Prayin For Daylight" accapella, sign some autographs and then get on their bus and out of town. I must admit I did not think they would make it as country stars. BUT then they released great song after great song like "I'm Moving On", "Mayberry", "These Days" and "Bless the Broken Road". Now the Rascal Flatts are headlining their own tour and coming to Pittsburgh this saturday with Froggy. They are also winning big awards like Top Vocal Group at the Academy of Country Music Awards last week. I will see you at the show saturday night. I love great songs and Rascal Flatts have a bunch. It will be a fun night!

By the way I got a call from my step brother in Memphis saturday night (he was at a bar) and he asked "do you rememeber the last song you played on the radio before you left for Pittsburgh"? I did not remember. Then he says "well I have someone here that remembers" so then he puts a girl on the phone and she says "I'm Moving On by Rascal Flatts"...ahhhh now I remember. Cool.
