2005 Twelve Bands of Christmas Awards
uh hum...And the awards for the 3rd annual twelve bands of christmas go to these bands:
Most hair gel: Povertyneck Hillbillies (Junior)
Most appearances: Dave Hanner (with Joe Patrick, Corbin Hanner & Alli Gillis)
Most High School girls: Alli Gillis and the Pine Richland Choir
Funniest Christmas song: Desperado "I got Santa arrested last year"
Biggest beer drinkers: Fabulous Gunslingers (Jack Daniels takes their bodies out every night)
Wierdest Chord on a guitar: NOMAD (Geo playing a C chord with a 9th and 5th fret capo)
Biggest Suprise: Joe Zelek, Sarah Marince, Bucwyld (never had them in studio before and they did great)
Funniest on-air story: BUCWYLD (lead singer Tim choked in Froggy Idol finals forgetting the words) RUFF CREEK (Jesse lead guitarist played a round of golf with his moms clubs and still almost beat me), Fabulous Gunslingers (we did not bring you salsa this year because of budget cuts)
Band that can crush Iron City aluminum bottle with one hand: Fabulous Gunslingers (I saw Chuck do that once)
Band that got the most phone calls on the Froggy request line: Povertyneck Hillbillies (these guys have alot of female fans calling)
Biggest Rednecks: Desperado, Bucwyld, Povertyneck Hillbillies (Chris Higbee especially LOL), Fabulous Gunslingers and ofcourse ME
Band with most dirty jokes: NOMAD (this is not even close)
Best performance: Alli Gillis and Members of the Pine Richland Choir "Do You Hear What I Hear"
Best Original Christmas Song: Desperado "I got Santa arrested last Year" and Tom Rooney with Al Snyder "Christmas that I missed"
Best Christmas Religious Performance: GOOD BROTHER EARL "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" RUFF CREEK "The Gift"
Bands with Fiddles in their Christmas songs: Povertyneck Hillbillies & Nomad
Bands that made their Christmas song sound country: Bucwyld, Povertyneck Hillbillies, Good Brother Earl (great job guys), Nomad & Joe Zelek
Best gift for Danger: Tom Rooney (dinner and invite to his downtown christmas party) Desperado (case of Iron City beer), Nomad (an afternoon with their fiddle player), Good Brother Earl (starbucks), Bucwyld (gee-tar strings)
Most Rockin song: Corbin Hanner "Santas Back in Town" Joe Patrick "Jingle Bell Rock"
Most Energy: Sarah Marince & Alli Gillis
New CD's coming out in 2006: Nomad, Joe Patrick, Desperado, Alli Gillis, Joe Zelek, Good Brother Earl, Fabulous Gunslingers, Ruff Creek
Best part of all of this: Every band this year sounded really good and was so much fun to be around. I hope to have you all in studio next Christmas plus some more great bands that I know I missed this year!
