I'm an Astros fan

Since I was a kid and lived in Houston Texas I have been a Astros fan. My Dad signed me and my sister up to be "Astros Buddies" which meant we got to go on the field and meet players before certain games. I met Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan and got to ask him a question. I asked him "how fast is your slow ball" and everybody laughed.

I have been enjoying the baseball playoffs since the Astros are in them and they are doing well. They beat the Braves last week in a classic 18 inning game and they won today when ROGER CLEMENS (pictured above) pitched them to victory over the Cardinals.

I live in Pittsburgh and I really like the Pirates (I always root for the home team) but since I was a child I have been an Astros fan. I remember waking every morning since I was twelve years old and checking the sports section to see if the astros won and how their players did in the game the night before.

Baseball is really good this time of year. I even think the Chicago vs LA series is good. The Houston vs St Louis series will be tough for the Astros to win but it would thrill me to see my team make it to the World Series.

And YES it would THRILL me to see the Pirates make it to the playoffs as well. As much as everyone calls this a Steelers town. There would be Pirates FEVER if they did!
